This year, the CIMB Classic begins a new chapter in its already prestigious history, as it becomes the PGA TOUR's first official FedExCup event in Asia. Taking place at Kuala Lumpur Golf & Country Club from 24th - 27th October, it will feature a larger field of 78 players comprising 60 from the PGA TOUR, 10 from the Asian Tour and 8 sponsor's exemptions.
The world-class field which will include all three past champions as well as 5-time Major winner Phil Mickelson, will compete for an increased prize purse of USD7.0 million, invite to the 2014 US Masters, Ryder Cup points and a 2-year PGA TOUR exemption.
As the region's premier professional golf tournament, the CIMB Classic 2013 is an event not to be missed.
